Sacred Art Prize 2025
We are pleased to share that work by one of our team members has been named a finalist in the 2025 Catholic Art Institute Sacred Art Prize — an international competition that honors excellence in Catholic sacred art. This recognition emerges from work grounded in the same approach that informs our architectural projects as a whole.
The Sacred Art Prize, instituted in 2020, seeks to recognize, award, and promote works that combine masterful craftsmanship with a profound theological understanding of sacred subject matter. Finalists are chosen through a blind adjudication process, and submissions come from artists around the world.
This recognition points to something deeper than an award. At its heart, sacred art and architecture are expressions of truth and beauty — not mere utility. In the Catholic tradition, art and built space are meant to elevate the human spirit and give visible form to invisible realities. The principles of form, proportion, and order are not just aesthetic choices, but reflections of a beauty that draws us beyond ourselves toward the divine.
The Catholic Art Institute’s mission — to empower artists and architects to glorify God and captivate souls through beauty — underscores why this competition matters. It nurtures a global community that sustains excellence in work that serves both the Church and the culture at large.
We congratulate all the finalists and thank the Catholic Art Institute for fostering this important tradition of sacred art.
